Gus Gowland
Gus is an award-winning writer/composer. His first musical Pieces of String was The Stage’s Best Regional Musical of the year and was nominated for the UK Theatre Best Musical Production award. Gus won The Stage Debut Award for Best Composer/Lyricist, and was nominated for the Writer’s Guild of Great Britain Award for Best Musical Theatre Bookwriting. Gus has been commissioned by theatres including York Theatre Royal, Theatre Royal Stratford East and Olivier Award-winning theatre collective Duckie. Find Gus at gusgowland.com and @gusgowland
Lauren Hendricks
Lauren is one half of writing duo Carey-Hills & Hendricks. Last year Tinker Bell the Musical enjoyed a successful workshop performance, with Alice Fearn, Tosh Wanogho-Maud & Courtney Bowman. Their first musical, Nursery Crimes, was listed by the Evening Standard as one of the Top 10 New Musicals, and reached the semi-finals of the West End Producer competition. Despite being far too old for such things, Carey-Hills & Hendricks have inexplicably seen viral success on TikTok, and have been featured on news channels such as BBC Breakfast. Uri Agnon
Uri Agnon is a Jerusalemite composer, writer and activist currently based in London. His pieces have been commissioned by and/or performed at a variety of stages and festivals, art galleries, demonstrations and direct actions. They include the opera Word Problems, composed entirely of Israeli textbook excerpts and the oratorio Custodian, performed as direct action on the footsteps of the JNF buildings. Geraint Owen
Geraint Owen is an award-winning composer, director, pianist and musical director from Cardiff. He is currently working on the Lincoln Centre Theatre production of My Fair Lady at the London Coliseum, and will be the Associate Musical Director on the show’s UK tour. Other credits include directing a European tour of ‘Much Ado About Nothing’, the televised concert ‘The Welsh of the West End’ recorded at the BBC, and the musical ‘Rust’ at the Edinburgh Fringe 2019. Jack Reitman
Jack Reitman is a London-based book-writer, actor and singer, with a passion for new musicals. Previous performing credits include ‘Thrill Me’ (Hope Theatre & Jermyn Street transfer, Winner of the 2020 Off-West End Award for Best Actor in a Musical), ‘Amour’ (Charing Cross Theatre) and ‘Assassins’ (Pleasance London). His short musical ‘On We Go’, with Kath Haling, was a top 6 finalist in the SMOFA international ‘mini-musicals’ competition, chosen from over 50 entries. He is currently writing a Queer romantic-comedy musical with Kath Haling, and is a proud member of Book Music & Lyrics (BML). Find Jack at @JackReitman
Paula Brett
Paula is a theatremaker and broadcaster from West London. They are currently touring with Le Gateau Chocolat’s DUCKIE, and have previously toured as a principal puppeteer on In the Night Garden Live and Illyria Theatre’s The Adventures of Doctor Dolittle. Recently, they have been finishing up Vital Xposure Theatre’s Wellspring project, which mentors and platforms disabled writers, and their new play Static will be shared in June.
